April 3, 2018

A 27-year-old crew member reportedly suffering from concussion-like symptoms was medevaced from a commercial Ro/Ro vessel approximately 14 miles east of Lake Worth Inlet, Fla.

U.S. Coast Guard watchstanders in Miami received a call on VHF-FM marine-band radio channel 16 at 11:15 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the 656-foot Norwegian-flagged car carrier Hoegh Trotter stating a crewmember was in need of medical attention.

A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet arrived on scene and transported the man to the station where emergency medical services were waiting.

EMS personnel transported the ailing crew member to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
