According to reports, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co has secured an order worth 690m from Qatar Gas Transport Company to build three liquefied natural gas carriers.
The vessels will be delivered by April 2009. The shipbuilder plans to boost its annual production capacity of LNG carriers to 15 from eight ships now by 2008.
