Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust's 3D Model of Edurance to Go on Public Display

The Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust (FMHT) has announced that its 3D printed model of the wreck of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance will go on public display at Discovery Point in Dundee.Arriving on April 30, 2026, the model will be unveiled as part of a special event featuring a talk by FMHT Founding Trustee and Director of Exploration, Mensun Bound. The event will offer visitors a rare, behind-the-scenes look at both Shackleton’s legendary expedition and the modern mission

ClassNK Collaborates with Japanese Companies on 3D Model-Based Approval System Testing

ClassNK has launched a joint pilot test with ten Japanese companies for its drawing approval system ‘NK-PASS’ and the ‘ClassNK 3DViewer, both compatible with 3DMBA (3D Model-Based Approval), scheduled for official release in spring 2026.3DMBA is an approach in which approval processes are centered on 3D models instead of conventional 2D drawings, and its adoption is expanding globally. By utilizing 3D models, it is expected to enhance visualization and accuracy for information that was difficult to identify in traditional processes

NYK Line’s 3D Design for Multi-Purpose Container Carrier Gets ClassNK Pass
