The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that would, if adopted, establish evaporative
emissions standards for marine vessels that use spark-ignition engines (including sterndrive, inboard, and outboard engines and personal
watercraft). Comments should be submitted by November 8, 2002.
